Cool neon leather flats with studs from Alexander McQueen

Neon colors are all the rage now, and I personally love this trend. It adds a fun pop of color to any outfit and makes everything look more modern and current. That's probably why I really like these studded neon flats by Alexander McQueen (one of my all time favorite brands, by the way!) that I ran into over at Net-a-Porter today:

Simply stunning, and what a great buy for spring!

Cute and colorful Vionnet flats

I have to admit I am not very familiar with Vionnet shoes. I mean, I know they make awesome Grecian dresses (their speciality, isn't it?) but I had no idea they were good at shoes too. But it seems they are. Just look at these cute embellished flats:

They are available right now over at Net-A-Porter.

Gorgeous pink Jimmy Choo flats

These Wallach patent-leather ballet flats are awesome, because their shape is classic and simple, but they are still far from boring due to the bright pink, fun color.

I really think I need to get these myself!

The story of Repetto ballet shoes

I just ran into a very nice post about Repetto ballet flats and how they were created. Read it over at Another Mag, where the pic is from as well. (Repetto being one of the most classic brands for flats ever of course)

My own latest flats

Is a pair of Borneo flats from Dune, purchased from ASOS.

I'm generally not crazy about animal prints, but snake is okay, I think, and it works in small doses. So why not add it to your shoes?

Freida Pinto in classic black flats

(Something I wear almost daily during fall and spring, such a classic look!). Looks much more dressed up than flip flops, but is still comfy. I love how she has a black it bag to match as well.

Louboutin Crystal Encrusted flats

I just saw these on Ebay, and I love them!

Costing almost $1 400, they are really out of my price range at the moment though.

(I do have a pair of Louboutin heels, by the way, but no flats so far. Getting a pair of Louboutin flats really is very high on my wish list - and to do list! - though!)

Alaia Studded leather ballerina flats

I like studs, if they are added to high quality pieces in a nice way. One way of making studs look classy, but edgy is to add them to flats in a cool way.
I think it is done in a really great way on these Alaia Studded leather ballerina flats.

I actually do not own even one pair of Alaia shoes so far, but I certainly would not mind getting these at all. They are so cute!

Why a blog about flats?

One might wonder why I've decided to create a blog about flats. Well, I have seen that there are plenty of blogs about high heels, and while I love that look on others, I really love flats more myself.

You see, I live in a big city, where I walk a lot, take cabs and ride buses, and I always have tons of stuff to do, and not always enough time to go home to change my shoes. So I invest in high quality flats instead of in high heels, and they have become quite a signature look for me.

And while I know that high heels appeal to more people than flats do, I do think there must be other flat lovers out there as well. So this is my way of sharing the cutest flats I run into with others. So if you are a flat lover too, you are more than welcome to drop me a line!
